Get ready for a spectacular production of Beauty and the Beast, designed with all the magic and “tricks” of a classic pantomime! Our stage is set with three grand Portals, twinkling with LED lights to guide the way. At the heart of the action sits the Beast’s Castle, a fixed structure standing 1.8m high that hides plenty of surprises. With four layers of flown drapes, we’ll take the audience on a journey of discovery, revealing the Beast’s Lair and the Castle Battlements only as the story unfolds.

The magic continues with our “periactoid” towers—clever three-sided revolving sets on wheels that whisk us from the Village to the Castle Dungeon or a festive Welsh Dresser in the blink of an eye. We have all the essential panto props, including Belle’s Cottage truck, an ornate bed, and a “Pops Machine” for Maurice’s latest invention. For that extra “wow” factor, look out for the giant champagne bottles and the Enchanted Rose, which glows and changes color through the power of DMX lighting.

The finale is sure to bring the house down! Our “mandraulic” star trap—a counterbalanced person lift—will dramatically transform the Beast into a Prince right before your eyes, accompanied by plenty of smoke for a truly magical effect. For the daring fight between Gaston and the Beast, the SR Balcony even swings out 45 degrees to the audience for a birds-eye view of the action. It’s a set built for fun, fast changes, and theatrical spectacle that will have everyone cheering (and booing!) from start to finish
